We’re Steven and Stephen. We’ve owned Brook Farm for seven years now and absolutely love it.

We were looking for a change, from busy city lives – and were fortunate enough to stumble upon this stunning corner of Worcestershire, with its tapestry of garden, meadow, woodland, and babbling brook. We’re able to enjoy the simpler, more grounded pleasures – growing fruit and making preserves, or chopping wood to fuel our fires.

And we have two beautiful holiday cottages, Hop Pickers’ House and Hen House, which give us the perfect opportunity to share this lovely place.

Our guests tell us how much they enjoy being here and instantly feel at home – with space to relax, unwind, be together and enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of their surroundings.

Our guests say:

Thank you so much for preserving such a wonderful plot of Earth. It has been a truly peaceful retreat in such idyllic surroundings. It has been an absolute joy to wander around the gardens and woodland. Looking forward to returning.

“Stephen and Steven were great hosts – both unobtrusive and incredibly helpful at the same time. Their great advice/ideas were fab!!”

Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay. It’s been the perfect getaway from London life. We’re already missing our evenings by the fire. We’re so happy to have discovered this beautiful part of the world, Mortimer Forest being one of our particular favourites. Hop Pickers’ House is just perfect, it had everything we want in a home away from home. We’ll definitely be back.

“We’ve heard the nightingale singing up in the woods, as well as the song-thrush and woodpecker every morning.”

“It was everything and more than we were expecting from a rustic and rural cottage in the lush green countryside of Worcestershire.”

We had the most glorious time here, enjoying Hop Pickers cottage in the sunshine. Perfectly timed with Ludlow Spring Fair which really showed off the local beers and produce. A wonderful escape from our very hectic London lives – our dog loved it too!!
