Hop Pickers’ House is a refurbishment of the old travelling hop pickers’ barn accommodation. The building has been welcoming visitors for hundreds of years – and is what we call ‘lustic’ – rustic, full of charm and character, but in a luxurious kind of way, with lots of cosy touches. A perfect spot to relax and get away from it all!

Hop Pickers’ House is situated in a quiet rural location, on the edge of Brook Farm. It has a spacious open plan layout – snuggle up beside the wood-burner, enjoy breakfast at the farmhouse table, settle down on the sofa with a cup of tea or cuddle up in a really cosy king-size four poster bed, listening to the barn owls.

Ground floor: Open plan kitchen (with dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave), dining and living area, cosy corner with wood-burning stove and snuggler, TV (Freesat). Outdoor seating and barbecue, private garden, parking outside the cottage.

First floor: Bedroom with king-size four poster bed and sofa. Bathroom with a free-standing bath, separate shower and WC.

Exposed beams and brickwork ooze character, style and charm. We provide linen, towels, kitchen essentials, a basket of logs….and a few welcome goodies! A washing machine and tumble dryer are available (and shared with Hen House).

Dogs are very welcome – at no extra charge. We’re flexible on start dates – which means you can choose the dates you want.

Our guests say:

“A stunning cottage, with an amazing attention for detail. A tranquil spot with amazing gardens and woodlands to explore.”

The owners could not be more welcoming and friendly and every little detail within the cottage is just full of love.”

“Pure dog heaven”

Amazing cottage…from the log-burner to the oak-lined walls of the bathroom. Loved everything. Will come back in the summer to take walks in the wood and sit on a garden bench with a cold beer.
